Al – Marai Private Butchery & Farming has been in the Meat Business for over 100 years. This Family Business was handed down generation by generation and now run by Third Generation Khalid Sarang.  Khalid has taken over from his late Dad “MF Sarang” who was best known for his Famous Biltong.

The Al – Marai Butchery & Farming team are passionate about supplying top quality meat to health conscious individuals & establishments who care as much about the humane treatment of animals and traceability of their food as we do. Quality & Hormone Free meat is impossible to farm on a commercial basis. We farm our own animals which are free range grazing our pastures and hormone free. We are also a Private Butchery so we process our own animals and keep our quantities low so we can focus on the quality rather than the quantity. Our animals are naturally reared grazing the fields on our Farm in the Rosetta / Mooi River area of the Natal Midlands. We have our own in house Abattoir as well so we take care of the entire process from start to end. This way we are able to monitor and ensure that our high quality standards are enforced throughout the process.
All our meat is strictly Halaal / Kosher.
